Elsinore Water-Saving Student Artwork In Traveling Show

Artwork from students in Western's service area displayed throughout Southern California.

LAKE ELSINORE-WILDOMAR, CA - From Western Municipal Water District: Award-winning, local student artwork highlighting the importance of water will be on display at Western Municipal Water District (Western) from June 19 to 26. The art exhibition is part of Metropolitan Water District of Southern Californiaโ€™s (MWD) Water is Life Art Contest.

In addition to being featured in MWDโ€™s well-recognized calendar, artwork from four local Riverside students will be featured in the traveling art exhibit. The 21 water districts, including Western, in MWDโ€™s service area will take turns displaying the artwork on a rotating schedule. The traveling exhibit started in January 2018 and will continue through July.

โ€œThe Water is Life Art Contest allows students the opportunity to create a visual representation of the importance of water. Water truly is life,โ€ said Westernโ€™s General Manager Craig Miller. โ€œThe traveling exhibit will allow community members to appreciate the beauty of water through the artwork that the students have created. Western is proud to promote water education programs that teach our youth about the value of our water resources.โ€
