Fugitive Parolee Arrested in Alleged Burglary

A 29-year-old fugitive parolee was behind bars Thursday after his arrest a day earlier for an alleged burglary.

Brian Hill of Lakeland Village was being held without bail at the Southwest Detention Center for investigation of burglary and violating parole.

A trespassing was reported about 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 33000 block of Blanche Drive, and responding deputies learned that Hill was inside a residence, sheriffโ€™s Cpl. Mike Fraker said.

Deputies set up a perimeter and tried to contact him, but Hill allegedly ran out of the back and jumped a fence. A foot chase ensued and Hill was caught in the 33000 block of Gillette Street, Fraker said.

An investigation linked Hill to a burglary that happened on Blanche Drive Wednesday morning, the deputy said.
