Groundbreaking Set For New $137 Million Freeway Interchange In RivCo
Construction on the Route 71/91 Interchange project in Corona begins Thursday.

CORONA, CA โ The Riverside County Transportation Commission is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday to mark the start of construction on the $137 million Route 71/91 Interchange in Corona.
The project will replace the existing single-lane loop connector between eastbound 91 and northbound 71 with a two-lane, non-tolled direct connector. The project will also add an eastbound 91 auxiliary lane next to the highway shoulder and realign the eastbound 91 Green River Road on-ramp to the south. Crews also will slightly realign southbound 71 to create space for the new connector.
"The improvements will improve safety, access, air quality, and traffic flow for motorists and freight," according to the RCTC.
