House Fire Damages Riverside County Home

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Fire damaged a home in Menifee Friday evening, but firefighters kept the flames from spreading to the home's attic.

The fire was reported about 9:10 p.m. in the 29000 block of Oakbridge Drive, where firefighters found light smoke coming from the front of a one- story home, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire damaged at least one room of the home and its contents, the department said.

Knockdown was declared at 9:31 p.m.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
