According to sheriffโs Sgt. Chad Loeffler, deputies patrolling the area of Langstaff Street and Sumner Avenue on the night of June 4 spotted Solis in a parked vehicle and immediately attempted to make contact with him, knowing he was wanted on a felony warrant.
โ(Solis) fled from the vehicle and began running through the backyards of several residences,โ Loeffler said. โDeputies established a perimeter and located Solis in the backyard of a residence on Lindsay Street. He was hidden behind a tarp in a makeshift shed and refused orders to exit. A police service dog was used to apprehend Solis and bring him out of the shed.โ
The defendant allegedly resisted deputies but was wrestled into custody. Loeffler said Solis suffered minor injuries during the struggle and was treated at a hospital before being booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
No deputies were injured.
According to court records, Solis has prior felony convictions for possession of illegal drugs and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, as well as misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence and resisting arrest.
