Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Residents Getting Free LED Christmas Lights

The Western Riverside Council of Governments is handing out 2 strands to Southern California Edison customers who trade in old light strands

The Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) is again hosting its holiday lights exchange, providing local residents the opportunity to turn in old, incandescent lights and receive new, LED ones in return.

Upcoming Holiday LED Light Exchange events will be held in Eastvale, Hemet, Perris, and Temecula, but residents from anywhere in Western Riverside County and Southern California Edison (SCE) service territory can take advantage of the program, according to organizers.

However, only 100 exchanges will be available at each event, so interested people are encouraged to arrive at the events early. Each participant can exchange up to two strands.
