Lake Elsinore's New Walmart Supercenter: More Job Opportunities
The new Walmart Supercenter opened Wednesday with 320 full- and part-time employees, and more hiring is planned, according to the company.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA โ More than 100 new associates have already been hired for the new Walmart Supercenter that opened Wednesday in Lake Elsinore, but more applicants will be sought, the company announced.
"The new Walmart store employs 220 associates and has hired an additional 100 associates," the company said. "More positions are planned in the coming months."
According to the company, Walmart associates have access to "competitive wages, affordable benefits, and the chance to build a career. More than 75 percent of store management teams started as hourly associates and 40 percent of those promotions went to associates within the first year of their employment."

Lake Elsinore residents got their first look at the new Walmart Supercenter Wednesday following a ribbon-cutting celebration. Highlights included remarks from Lake Elsinore Mayor Bob Magee and City Manager Jason Simpson, customer giveaways, and Walmart grants to the community that included $3,000 to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, $3,000 to Cal Fire/Lake Elsinore Fire Department, and $5,000 to the Lake Elsinore Dream Center.

โWe are thrilled to bring to the Lake Elsinore community a new store to better serve our customers with convenient shopping at affordable prices," said Walmart Store Manager Marco Jimenez. โWe are here to serve our customersโ needs with new services such as free grocery pickup, a full-service deli, bakery, fresh produce, and a meat department, which were not available at our former Lake Elsinore store.โ
The new Supercenter at 29260 Central Avenue is replacing the current Walmart at 31700 Grape Street. The new location features a larger layout and also offers express delivery. Store hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
