The Orange County coroner’s office has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash with a sedan hauling a small trailer on Ortega Highway between San Juan Capistrano and Lake Elsinore, shutting it down between Lake Elsinore and Orange County for a time.
Sixty-three-year-old Ian James Gibson, who was killed in the crash reported at 8:44 a.m. Sunday, was a resident of the city of Orange, the coroner’s office said.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a light blue Chevrolet Cruze with a small trailer attached to it, according to the CHP. The driver of that vehicle was not injured, although its air bags deployed.
