Marijuana Operation Dismantled In Wildomar: Sheriff's Department

Two people were arrested during Thursday's search warrant service on Loring Road.

WILDOMAR, CA โ€” Two people were arrested Thursday in Wildomar on suspicion of running an illegal marijuana operation, the sheriff's department announced.

Rafael Penton, 55, and Sarahi Del Valle, 49, both Wildomar residents, were arrested and booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of marijuana cultivation and marijuana possession for sales โ€” both misdemeanors. Jail records were unavailable for Penton. Del Valle was released Friday and was due to appear in court in July, the records show.

According to the sheriff's department, a search warrant was served Thursday in the 36600 block of Loring Road, which turned up 1,000 marijuana plants, 100 pounds of processed marijuana, a loaded .22 caliber rifle, a large sum of U.S. currency, and several items used in manufacturing firearms.
