More Earthquakes Strike Near Palomar

Several Earthquakes centered near the Palomar Observatory have rattled the area.

A magnitude-3.0 quake was recorded near the Riverside-San Diego county line, about 2 miles north-northeast of Palomar Observatory today.

The temblor, too small to cause damage, struck at 1:26 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was followed by a magnitude-2.6 aftershock at about 2:47 a.m. at the same location.

Mount Palomar is about 20 miles southeast of Temecula.

That magnitude-3.3 earthquake centered 4 miles southwest of Palomar Observatory was reported at 11:09 p.m. March 29, according to the U.S. Geological Surveyโ€™s website.

There were no reports of damage.
