Mylar Balloon Sparks Fire In Wildomar
Authorities worked with Southern California Edison to separate the balloon.

WILDOMAR, CA โ A one-acre fire sparked Sunday after a Mylar balloon got tangled in power lines in Wildomar, officials said.
Riverside County firefighters were called to Bundy Canyon Road near Farm Road at about 2:45 p.m. Four engine crews hiked nearly a mile to the scene of the fire from the road.
Firefighters along with air tankers and a water dropping-helicopter were able to extinguish the fire.

Authorities worked with Southern California Edison to separate the balloon from the insulator connected to the power lines as it continued to throw sparks on surrounding brush.
