Off-Roading Mom Races for Good, Target Data Hacking, 1 Dead in Fire

A Temecula woman who's an off-road racing enthusiast had her life turned upside-down when she took part in a race dedicated toย breast cancer awareness. The event prompted her to get checked outโ€”just in time.ย 

Surviving cancer was especially important the single mom of three teenaged kids. And now, Julie Pierce has founded FORE, a nonprofit organizationย thatย is holding a series of charitable off-road Southern California desert races.

โ€œThis has been a huge wake-up call, you figure out what is important in life,โ€ Pierce said.

โ€œWhen God gives you a second chance you want to give back to God, you want to do good things for others. To give back is my primary mission in life right now.โ€
