Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Canyon Lake
Authorities reported the crash at the intersection of Railroad Canyon Road and Canyon Lake Drive South.
CANYON LAKE, CA โ A pedestrian was fatally struck Thursday when he attempted to cross a road in Canyon Lake.
The fatality happened at 2:40 a.m. on Railroad Canyon Road near Canyon Lake Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Sgt. Brad Foster said Michael Dubay, 29, of Riverside was walking along the roadway and tried to cross it "outside of a marked crosswalk," and was hit by an oncoming car.

The driver stopped and called 911.
Paramedics arrived within a few minutes and pronounced Dubay dead at the scene, Foster said.

The motorist, whose identity also was not disclosed, was not injured and was released following questioning by patrol deputies.
"Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision," the sergeant said.
