Perris High School Teacher Jailed On Suspicion Of Sex With Minors
Gerardo Regalado is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, jail records show.

PERRIS, CA โ A teacher at Perris High School remained jailed Friday following his arrest Thursday into allegations of lewd acts with children.
Gerardo Regalado, 29, was taken into custody at 4 p.m. at the Perris Sheriff's Station. According to jail records, he was booked into Murrieta's Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of sodomy by force, oral copulation by force on a minor under 14, sending harmful material, and annoying/molesting a child under 18.
He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, the jail records show.

The investigation into Regalado began Jan. 22 when deputies went to the high school regarding allegations that the teacher had committed lewd acts with a child during a period between 2013 and 2016, according to sheriff's Sgt. John Burke.
At the time of the alleged incidents, Regalado was not yet employed as a teacher at the school, but rather was a tutor and volleyball coach at the campus, Burke reported.

During the investigation, it was determined Regalado had committed lewd acts on two former students, Burke said.
The victims' identities were not released.
Regalado is due to appear in court Monday, according to jail records.
