Railroad Canyon Road/I-15 S. Off-Ramp Closing This Weekend

The off-ramp closure in Lake Elsinore will last from 9 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA โ€” A full closure of the southbound Interstate 15/Railroad Canyon Road off-ramp in Lake Elsinore is planned over the weekend, and some closures are expected Thursday night as part of the Riverside County Transportation Commissionโ€™s $41 million I-15 Railroad Canyon Interchange Project.

Thursday night, ongoing work continues in the area with a southbound I-15 Railroad Canyon Road off-ramp closure and intermittent southbound freeway lane closures from 8 p.m. through 4 a.m. Friday, according to the RCTC.

Then, Friday night through Monday morning, construction crews will be widening and connecting the new I-15 ramp to the Railroad Canyon roadway. The work will require the off-ramp to fully close Friday at 9 p.m. through 4 a.m. Monday. Crews will be shifting k-rail, removing existing pavement, excavating, installing irrigation for future landscaping, and repaving and restriping the off-ramp, according to the RCTC.
