RivCo Man Charged With Fraudulently Deeding Properties To Himself

Among the properties was one in Southwest Riverside County, according to prosecutors.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA โ€” A Riverside County man charged with pretending to be the owner of a local real estate investment company and deeding the business's properties to himself pleaded not guilty Monday โ€” and investigators believe there may be more victims.

Timothy Grant McBride, 41, of Mira Loma pleaded not guilty at the Hall of Justice in Riverside to five felony counts of recording fraudulent grant deeds. His plea comes following his early morning June 10 arrest at his Round Tree Court home.

The investigation into McBride began after the Real Estate Fraud Unit of the Riverside County District Attorney's Office received a complaint.

According to prosecutors, McBride was representing himself as the owner/president of MSC Development, Inc. Investigators spoke to the person listed by the California Secretary of Stateโ€™s Office as the actual owner of the business who said he had never heard of McBride.

McBride had deeded several of the companyโ€™s properties to himself and different family trusts in which he was the named trustee, according to prosecutors. The fraudulent grant deeds include a Menifee property with an assessed value of $261,830; a Jurupa Valley property with an assessed value of $109,768; one in Moreno Valley with an assessed value of $162,419; one in Nuevo with an assessed value of $80,534; and a Riverside property with an assessed value of $45, 934, according to prosecutors.
