San Diego County Credit Unionยฎ (SDCCUยฎ), one of Southern Californiaโ€™s largest locally-owned financial institutions, raised $10,000 to help support the efforts of the San Diego Humane Society, Animal Friends of the Valleys in Riverside County and the Home Free Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Orange County this past holiday season with its ninth annual โ€œPresents for Pawsโ€ fundraiser. Funds generated from the campaign will be used in part to provide medical care for local shelter animals in need and help educate the community about the importance of adoption and responsible pet ownership. Online donations were collected from December 2020 through January 2021.

As a way to thank our donors, the San Diego Humane Society is hosting a special virtual event, โ€œInspiring Compassion Togetherโ€, featuring Brian Daugherty, senior vice president and chief communications officer at San Diego Humane Society on Friday, February 19 at 12:00 p.m. This special event for the generous supporters of SDCCUโ€™s annual Presents for Paws fundraiser will provide an overview of the incredible, life-changing work that your support makes possible for animals and the people who love them!
