Skydiver Rescued After Getting Tangled In Wildomar Power Lines

The incident was reported at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday at Mission Trail and Vine Street. The person took off out of Skydive Elsinore.

WILDOMAR, CA โ€” A skydiver whose parachute got stuck in Wildomar power lines was rescued by Southern California Edison and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews.

The incident was reported at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday at Mission Trail and Vine Street.

The skydiver, whose identity was not available, was out of Skydive Elsinore and was dangling about 30 feet off the ground after getting caught up in the lines, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson April Newman.

In addition to fire crews, Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Southern California Edison were called to the scene, Newman said.

SCE "cut the power to the lines and was able to safely bring the patient down with their bucket lift," according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department tweet. SCE also removed the chute from the lines.

The person was transported to an area hospital with minor leg injuries, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
