TRAFFIC ALERT: Truck Reported Over The Side On Ortega Highway

UPDATE at 8:25 a.m.: Cal Fire has confirmed that a solo vehicle crash on the Ortega Highway at the Candy Store was reported to the agency shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle went off the road and landed approximately 100 feet down an embankment, Cal Fire reported.

Three people are being transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, the agency stated.

ORIGINAL POST: According to unconfirmed reports, there are delays Tuesday morning on the Ortega Highway due to a vehicle over the side near the Candy Store.

The incident was reported to the California Highway Patrol shortly before 7 a.m.

The unconfirmed reports indicate the vehicle was a white work pickup truck and smoke was spotted in the crash area.

First responders are reportedly on scene.
