Firefighters and a technical rescue team pulled off the operation on Friday.
NORCO, CA โ Firefighters and a technical rescue team pulled a horse to safety on Friday after it slipped down an embankment and became wedged against a barn in Norco, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
Crews were called to a ranch property in the 2000 block of Corona Avenue, near Second Street, about 5 a.m., according to an agency spokeswoman. She said an engine crew found the horse had fallen into a confined space, leaving her in the precarious spot.
The Norco Animal Rescue Team was summoned to assist the crew, and after attaching hoisting mechanisms to the steed, they safely pulled him from the space, according to the fire department.
