Walmart Supercenter In Lake Elsinore To Open March 31

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Walmart announced that its new Lake Elsinore Supercenter on Central Avenue will open Wednesday.

Lake Elsinore residents are invited to get their first look at the brand-new Walmart Supercenter at 29260 Central Avenue during an 8 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony that will include several city dignitaries including Mayor Steve Manos. The event will also feature a presentation of grants to local organizations, according to event organizers.

The new store replaces the current Lake Elsinore Walmart location at 31700 Grape Street and adds about 100 additional associates to the big-box retailer's payroll, according to the company. A full-service deli, bakery, produce, and meat departments, as well as free online grocery pickup service and express delivery will be offered at the Supercenter.

Groundbreaking for the new store took place in January 2020. The project consists of a 154,487 square-foot store that includes a 3,090 square-foot seasonal outdoor garden center, arcade and outdoor/seasonal merchandise display. Additional retail stores and restaurants were part of the project, according to state documents.
