Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Perris

The motorist was cooperating with investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

PERRIS, CA โ€” A 67-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along a Perris street, authorities said Tuesday.

Olinda Limache-Abregu of Moreno Valley was fatally injured about 11 a.m. Monday on Rider Street, just south of Redlands Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

She was walking in an unknown direction when struck by a 2003 Honda CRV, whose driver immediately stopped, authorities said.

Paramedics reached the location within a few minutes and attempted life-saving measures, but Limache-Abregu was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies questioned the driver, who was uninjured and whose name was not released, but did not arrest the motorist.
