The deadly blaze was reported at 2:45 p.m. January 25 in the 32900 block of Blackwell Boulevard, near Brightman Avenue. Firefighters sent to the home encountered flames in multiple rooms of the single-story residence, with heavy smoke in the attached garage, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The home belonged to Julia Fisher, Devinn Fisher's mother, according to a GoFundMe page established for the family. It's not immediately clear if Julia Fisher was home when the blaze broke out, but two of Devinn's children, ages 1 and 2, were at the residence. Also at the home was another female child, as well as Devinn Fisher's maternal grandmother, Phyllis, and several of Julia Fisher's dogs, according to the page.

The two toddlers died in the blaze, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau. Three dogs also perished in the fire, and the girl, Devinn and her grandmother were hospitalized with injuries. Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported at the time of the blaze that six people were hospitalized.

The grandmother did not survive her injuries and died in the hospital.

The sheriff's department did not provide details on what led to Devinn Fisher's arrest or how investigators determined what caused the fire.

The GoFundMe page provided accounts of how the blaze impacted the family.

"Devinn was severely burned but as you can imagine that's not what's hurting her the most," a February 2 post on the page read.

A February 27 entry read, "Julia and her family continue to try and stay positive through all of the daily struggles. ... Devinn was able to say a final goodbye to her angel babies Arya and Julian a few days ago. She was able to hold them one last time and speak to them with her whole heart and soul and sing them thier (sic) favorite lullabies."
