25,000 Eggs Dropped from Helicopter in Laguna Hills This Weekend
Check out some of the Easter events taking place in cities near Lake Forest this holiday weekend.

Lake Forest already celebrated the beginning of spring last week with the traditional Bunny Blast, but nearby cities have plenty to keep the family busy this Easter weekend.
LAGUNA HILLS
Late Night Flashlight Egg Hunt
Where/When: LHCC (Soccer Fields), 25555 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills; April 6, 8 to 9 p.m.
Why: Bring a bag or basket and a flashlight to find the eggs hidden in the dark. Hundreds of eggs will be scattered throughout the Laguna Hills Sports Complex. Each participant will be entered into a raffle.
Ages: 7-14 (Two hunts are scheduled. One for participants 7-10 years old and another for ages 11-14.)
Price: Resident $5; non-resident $7

Mr. Bunny & Friends
Where/When: Laguna Hills Community Center; April 7, 10 to 11 a.m.
Why: Springtime egg-citment with crafts, an egg hunt and photos with Mr. Bunny.
Ages: 6 and under

Community Helicopter Egg Drop
Where/When: Crossline Community Church campus field, 23331 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills; April 7, 10 a.m.
Why: Watch as 25,000 candy/toy filled Easter eggs are dropped from a helicopter. Also visit with special guest "iCarly" star Noah Munck, aka Gibby.
Ages: The event is catered to families with children between the ages of 2-11.

LAKE FOREST
Easter at Saddleback
Where/When: Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Pkwy, Lake Forest; April 8, services will be held at 7 a.m. 9 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Why:Â Saddleback Church invites families to hear why the story of Easter is relevant to our modern lives. Attendees will "hear great music, a message that applies to your life, and ... have a chance to meet other people who are just like you."

Compass Bible Church Easter at the Bren
Where/When: The Bren Center, located on the campus of University of California, Irvine; April 8, services will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Why: Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo welcomes guests to a “wonderful way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with your loved ones."
