Covid19 Angels Betting Report 33% Of Season Is Done

This was one of the hardest weeks yet for the Angels as they had to face the current AL West and NL West leaders. Joe Maddon looked at the line up card during a game against the Dodgers and looked bewildered as he looked for answers.

Prior to the week beginning, I stated how I believed that they would win two games out of the week, one against the A’s and one against the Dodgers. I was right about how many they would win but I wasn’t expecting them to both come in the same series.

The Halos started off the week facing the Oakland A’s at home and took their revenge from opening weekend by taking the second series between the two teams.

They won the first two games 10-9 and 6-0 and after these two wins, I knew they weren’t going to sweep. The second game saw Dylan Bundy pitching and after the way he pitched in the last week and a half, I honestly wouldn’t bet against him. In the seven innings he pitched, he gave up four hits and only one walk while recording 10 strikeouts.

Unfortunately, they didn’t take that momentum into their series with the Dodgers as they got swept, leading to the Dodgers taking sole possession of first in the NL West.
If the Angels were to win any of them, it would’ve been the second game where they went into extras.
One thing I’ve noticed in every game, but specifically in extras, is that they tend to swing at the first pitch. In an ITB situation, this is a major no-no. You are in a do-or-die situation and you are facing this pitcher for the first time in the game. Get deep into the count and make them work for it, but David Fletcher led off and popped out on the first pitch. If you see this, the outcome will NEVER be good.

Some things came out of the final game of the series, the Dodgers can still win no matter how many mistakes they make. Jo Adell’s first career outfield assist came when Matt Beaty didn’t slide into second causing the third out and the Dodgers losing a run.To be fair, Dave Roberts shouldn’t have let Edwin Rios continue on the base when he was clearly in pain. He was seen grabbing his leg prior to his slide into second base. The Beaty out came before Rios even stepped foot on home.
On the bright side, Rendon is finally bringing his batting average up as he had hit five home runs in the six games played last week. He now has a total of six homers in the season thus far.
This week, the Angels face the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland A’s for the third time since the season started.

The Halos have already won the first game of the Giants series seeing Trout become the first player this season to hit 10 home runs. He has hit nine of those following the birth of his son.
I see the Angels winning the series against the Giants and taking the momentum into the three-game series against the A’s.

However, I only see them winning one as the A’s are going to be out for blood following the last matchup and will be on their own turf.On 08/18/20 Bundy came to the mound against a weak hitting Giants team with a Gasoline can in his hand. Bundy Bundy came in and gave up 4 hits, 4 runs and 2 home runs against a weak hitting
