Bomb Threat At Lake Forest Fast-Food Restaurant Resolved

OCSD responded to El Toro Road and Avenida De La Carlota Thursday when a bomb threat was reported.

LAKE FOREST, CA —Threat of a bomb temporarily closed a Lake Forest fast-food establishment and surrounding businesses, Orange County Sheriff's Department confirmed with Patch.

Deputies were on scene for just under an hour until the bomb squad declared all was safe

At 4:45 p.m., the manager of the restaurant called 911 to report a telephoned bomb threat, an OCSD spokesperson said.

Deputies responded to the restaurant and evacuated the business and surrounding stores at El Toro Drive and Avenida De La Carlota, where the bomb threat was reported Thursday afternoon.

The bomb squad arrived to investigate the scene and found there was no threat, an OCSD spokesperson says.

The scene was cleared to reopen as of 5:30 p.m.
