2. Beginning today, OC Parks chops 50 percent off the price of its 2013 parking passes for county parks and/or beaches. More details here.

3. A free fibromyalgia and chronic pain workshop is Thursday. If you're starting to feel a little long in the tooth, it might be worth checking out.

4. The fourth annual VidCon kicks off, featuring online video celebrities and networks. More than 10,000 fans and professionals are expected to attend the three-day event. VidCon 2013 will begin with an Industry Day featuring panel discussions about online audiences, advertising, legislation of the Internet and more. The convention runs through Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

5. Have soda sales gone flat? Last year, the average American guzzled 44 gallons of soda, down from 54 gallons a year in 1998. Analysts cite health concerns and an industry shift toward non-carbonated drinks. Have you cut your soda consumption? Tell us in the comments.
