Bryan Dedeaux Takes Head Age Group Coach Position At SET
Saddleback El Toro Swim Team was proud to announce the addition of former Mission Viejo Nadadores coach to their staff.

LAKE FOREST, CA — After an extensive search, Saddleback El Toro Swim Team (SET) has hired Bryan Dedeaux from Lake Forest, California, as the club’s new head age group coach, the team said.
Dedeaux comes to SET Swim and Water Polo from Mission Viejo Nadadores where he coached the past 19 years, according to release. He has served as the teams 10 and under director for nearly 15 years and is the dryland director.
Bryan started his career as a coach in 1990 with the Colony Red Hots in Irvine, California, and currently serves as the head coach of the Lake Forest Dolphins summer recreational team. He has been selected as the Southern California Swimming Age Group Coach of the year. In addition to being a regular speaker across the country about age group swimming, Bryan is a certified personal trainer and certified functional strength coach. These additional tools will allow SET to expand the expertise that the club will be able to offer it’s athletes.

Bradley Schumacher, the director of SET Aquatics (SET Swim Team and SET Water Polo) and two time Olympic gold medalist had this to say about the hire:

Bryan Dedeaux is recognized nationally as the leader in development of curriculum focused towards age group swimmers. Our mission is to provide the resources necessary for our SET athletes to reach their next level and Bryan is a foundational piece of our strategic plan. We are excited to have Coach Bryan Dedeaux join the SET family, he will be an integral part of continuing our growth and development."

His energy and enthusiasm is palpable. He has a long history of developing not only top level age group swimmers, but also making a lasting impression on the athletes he works with. His addition to our staff helps fill a void of high level coaches with our younger swimmers.”
