Wednesday night the first of a four part series “Get SAFE” started at City Hall. About 30 children along with their parents were in attendance. The children learned ways to protect themselves against bullies, what to do if they get lost, phone safety, internet safety, home safety, and bus safety. Also on the program are bike and car safety, avoiding conflicts, avoiding tricks and lures, and personal boundaries.
The classes are designed for children from K to 6th grade and are open only to Lake Forest residents.
The City offers these programs twice a year. About 40% of the children had already taken the program.
