Community Mourns Teens Killed In Tustin Rollover Crash
A rollover crash in Tustin has now claimed the lives of two teens. Several more are still under hospital care after the dramatic collision.

TUSTIN, CA — Two Century High School students were killed in a tragic collision over the weekend as a result of a single-vehicle rollover crash in Tustin that injured others in the car, authorities said Monday. The 17-year-old boys were passengers in a car filled with 5 other people. Speed was a possible factor in the collision, according to investigators, but police said Monday the exact cause of the fatal rollover is still under investigation.
Racing has been an issue on some roads in the area of the Friday afternoon crash, but not along that exact street, Tustin police Lt. Bob Wright said. He said no witnesses have indicated there was another vehicle involved, and investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors.
The Infiniti, which seated 5, was filled with 7 at the time of the crash. That vehicle was westbound on Legacy Road "when it veered off the roadway and collided with a cement post," Tustin police Lt. Robert Wright said. "The vehicle then spun out of control and slammed into a moving van that was legally parked along the eastbound side of the road."

Pedro Fuentes, 17, of Santa Ana was also a passenger in the crashed car and pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said earlier.

"This was an unfortunate and very devastating loss for Pedro's entire family," the GoFundMe page established by his family said. "He was an amazing loving son, brother, and friend. Pedro will always be remembered as caring, humble, and full of happiness. Most importantly he always had faith in God and followed his steps." Funds are being raised for Pedro Fuentes' funeral, according to the page.
The crash occurred at about 2:50 p.m. Friday in the 16000 block of Legacy Road, across from the Amalfi Apartment complex, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
Four males and three females were in the Infiniti M37 at the time of the accident, Kurtz said. The male victims are 17 years old, two of the girls are 17 and another victim is a 20-year-old woman, Kurtz said.
"The collision with the moving van caused the Infiniti to roll over," Wright said. The injured victims were taken to hospitals, Wright said. The conditions of the surviving patients were not available
