Disneyland Holidays Transform Park To Merriest Place On Earth

The holidays at Disneyland Resort return Friday through Jan. 6, 2020. Here is how you can enjoy the magic this season!

ANAHEIM, CA — What is your favorite part of visiting Disneyland Resort over the Christmas holiday? Some recaps will appear across the parks in 2019, but also some new attractions are in the works!

This winter, Disneyland presents "Mickey's Happy Holidays!" featuring never before seen inclusive events like a guest dance party and live performance starring Mickey Mouse and his friends!

Throughout Downtown Disney and both sides of the resort, see over 10,000 poinsettias and 10,000 cyclamen plants add color to the festive affair.

New gift items are available at all shops, including classic holiday merchandise, clothes, mouse ears, Disney trading pins, plush animals and more.

On Main Street, drink in that sight of color and glistening candlelight in an old fashioned Christmas that even Walt Disney himself would enjoy!

Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle is stunning, dripping with shimmering icicles and snow capped turrets!

At night, see the 126,000 twinkling LED lights aglow!

If you are a Disney Foodie, new culinary delights await! including the Mickey Snowman Apple, eggnog latte cheesecake, hot chocolate beignets, and gingerbread funnel cake fries!

Sights, sounds and scents of the holiday will appear at both parks.

At Disneyland Resort, behind closed doors, "it's a small world" has been getting a face-lift for the holiday and inside look for aromas of cinnamon, cherry blossom, coconut and pine and peppermint candy! A new FastPass for the ride is available through the Disneyland App.

Each evening, “it’s a small world” Holiday, with 50,000-plus colorful lights, music and video projections. Inside, dolls and toys representing children from around the world enjoy the distinctive holiday traditions of their countries.

Other attractions that are dressed up at Disneyland include Toon Town, and of course, holidays continue to collide until January at the the Haunted Mansion's Nightmare Before Christmas.

When "Frozen 2" opens on Nov. 22, the Disneyland Resort will spotlight such characters as Anna, Elsa and Olaf on their own float in the Christmas Fantasy parades.

Across the quad at Disney California Adventure, the Disney Festival of Holidays brings to life all manner of cultural diversity with traditional holiday sights, sounds and flavors from across the globe.

Other features that return this year, include the Disney Festival of Holidays, which celebrates various seasonal festivities such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day.

The traditional dances intermixed into the parade are not to be missed!

At Cars Land, it's time for Haul-y Jolly Christmas as Radiator Springs residents decorate with their typical junkyard style.

New attractions include Luigi's Joy to the Whirl and Mater's Jingle Jamboree. "Each attraction is enhanced with catchy tunes that bring holiday cheer and encourage sing-a-long moments with classic holiday tunes and Cars Land originals," a resort spokesperson said.

  • The songs on Mater’s Jingle Jamboree include: "Christmas In Radiator Springs,""Mater’s Jingle Jamboree," "Radiator Rockin’ Holiday,""The Gifts of the Mater" and "Tractors, Tractors, Tractors."
  • On Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl: "We Wish You Season’s Speedings," "Joy To The Whirl," "Jolly Joyous Santa Car," "Carol Of The Horns" and "Jingle Bells."

The Holiday Sunset Concerts will this year feature the Suffragettes and Phat Cat Swinger, as well as performances by Mostly Kosher, Blue 13 Dance Company, the Sound and Mariachi Divas.
