Disneyland Ticket Sales Date Announced As Reopening Nears
Here's what we've learned about how to buy Disneyland tickets when you can make park reservations to return to the resort.

ANAHEIM, CA — Are you ready to go back to Disneyland? After more than a year being closed, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are reopening on April 30, according to the resort. And we now know that the California theme park reservation system launches on Monday, April 12— but ticket sales don't resume until three days later.
You will need both a ticket and a reservation to enter the main gates.
"The theme park reservation system will launch on April 12, and guests with existing valid theme park tickets can begin making park reservations for the days that their ticket is valid," Disneyland announced Tuesday in a news release.

Theme park ticket sales will resume on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations, according to a park spokesperson.
The reason for the three-day discrepancy? Expiration dates were pushed back for "many" tickets, according to the park. An exact number of existing tickets are not currently known.

"Both a theme park reservation and a theme park ticket for the same park and date are required for entry," they say. All guests age 3 and older will need a ticket to make a reservation.
To accommodate as many types of ticket holders as possible, park reservations for select dates may be made available on a rolling basis, according to a spokesperson.
Here are some key dates to remember:
- April 9: If you currently hold a theme park ticket, you can check available days for your 1-day ticket type at www.disneyland.com
- April 12: Theme park reservations open no earlier than 8 a.m. PST. An exact time was not provided. Guests who already have valid theme park tickets may begin making park reservations.
- April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8 a.m. PST and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations.
Tip: Be sure to log in to your Disney account first to link valid theme park tickets prior to accessing the park reservation system. See how to make a park reservation, below!
NOTE: Tickets and reservations will only be available to California residents. Proof of residency may be required, they say.
When you go, things will look a bit different, a park spokesperson says, but if you plan your visit right, you can still enjoy all the magic that these Southland theme parks have to offer.
Expect to wear masks, stay socially distanced within your family group, and have your temperature taken upon park entry. Handwashing stations will be available across the park, and it is recommended that you stay cashless whenever possible.
"We recommend that guests book in-park dining and other experiences at the park on the day they have a theme park reservation," they say.
What will be closed at the Disneyland Resort:
Some impacts of coronavirus include the eradication of the annual pass, as well as the FastPass and MaxPass.
Magic Mornings and Extra Magic Hours are also suspended as of this report, in an effort to maintain park capacity, they say.
Other differences include a pause on parades and nighttime spectaculars. Character greetings are also paused, though there will be new ways to experience characters during your visit, Patch was told.
Moms and dads who hoped to provide magical makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will have to do their own hair and makeup. That boutique will not be open when the park reopens to the public. Single rider queues will not be available.
