Dodgeball Championships, Fake Beatles and Stargazing

1. The Orange County Fair continues Wednesdays through Sundays through Aug. 11 with pig races, deep-fried food, rides, exhibits and more. Friday's highlights include the Amazing Dobermans at the Action Sports Arena, Styx at the Pacific Amphitheatre and Sublime tribute band 40 Oz to Freedom at the Hangar Entertainment Arena. Saturday features Ultimate Dodgeball Championships at the Action Sports Arena, the Beatles tribute band The Fab Four at the Pacific Amphitheatre and Pink Floyd tribute band Which One's Pink at the Hangar Arena. Sunday events include the OC Police Canine Show at the Action Sports Arena, Hunter Hayes and Sara Haze at the Pacific Amphitheatre and J Boog and Common Sense at the Hangar arena. Find schedules, directions and more info here.

2. Several concerts are on tap this weekend: Friday's lineup includes Steve Clark at Our Place (8 p.m.) or the Pac Men at Big Shots (9 p.m.), and Saturday features vocalist Diane Gibbs-Studer at Our Place (8:30 p.m.). Visit Lake Forest Patch's events calendar for more info.

3. Rancho Mission Viejo hosts an Astronomy Night on Sunday, but you have to be registered by 4 p.m. Saturday.
