"They never looked back and proved to be too much for Corona," Fundingsland said.
Attending the event were parents, administration and faculty of El Toro High School and board members Amanda Morell and Dolores Winchell who sat front row along the third-base line.
"It was an unbelievable season and to cap it off playing the game at Dodger Stadium with the guys I grew up with was unreal," the designated hitter for the nights game, Erik Tolman said.
Erik, along with his parents Linda and Bill Tolman, were appreciative the opportunities the coaches had given the team throughout the season.
"Coach Gonzalez and Coach Levier displayed what true teamwork and respect for one another and the game can accomplish," the Tolman family agreed.

"The communication between these coaches is magical and the players pick up on that and that is how it becomes an amazing team," Fundingsland said.
Board President and supporter, Dolores Winchell discussed the victory and the coaching staff.

"Bravo to coach Gonzales and coach Levier for leading our El Toro boys to Division 1 CIF championship," Winchell said. "(Playing) at Dodger Stadium and keeping the opposing team scoreless is what most teams only dream about. Kudos to the entire team for a spectacular season. You make the entire community proud it is another great day to be a Charger!”
