El Toro Wins Division 1 Baseball Title Behind Jackson, Zamora
Chargers win 23 of their final 26 games, culminating in a 4-0 victory at Dodger Stadium over Corona.
Jake Jackson saw El Toro win a Southern Section championship in 2008 when his father was an assistant on the team. He always dreamed that one day, he would win a championship, too.
On Friday, Jackson delivered in ways he could have have never envisioned.
He pitched a three-hitter to lead the Chargers to a 4-0 victory over Corona, giving El Toro the CIF-SS Division 1 championship.

Jackson was part of a 1-2 punch for Coach Mike Gonzales' new champs. Josh Zamora provided the offensive muscle with an RBI double in the first inning and an RBI fly in the second -- and he also scored a run -- as the Chargers bolted to a four-run lead after two innings and then rode Jackson's arm.
