LAKE FOREST, CA —During 2021, the city of Lake Forest is celebrating its 30th Anniversary, and the city is asking you to share your memories for their greatest hits album.

Over the past year, Lake Forest has helped residents through the coronavirus pandemic, fires, food drives, answering vaccination questions, and staying on top of school/youth sports reopenings. However, over 30 years, much in this small community has changed.

The city was founded by Don Jose Serrano and incorporated on December 20, 1991, and merged Foothill Ranch and El Toro to become Lake Forest. The re-naming of the area was recently lauded on the game show "Jeopardy." Thousands across the country shared their delight and their answer on the town's former name.

Although the City will continue to grow in the coming years, there are no large undeveloped parcels slated for development, they say.

"The City is focused on maintaining Lake Forest's beauty and transitioning into a maintenance city, which encompasses repairing roads and highways, caring for public parks, and providing other public services to improve the quality of life for Lake Forest residents," according to a spokesperson.

The collection of memories coincides with the City’s motto, “remember the past, challenge the future.”
