Robber Hits Lake Forest Citibank

A thief made off with an undisclosed sum after robbing a Citibank branch at 23562 El Toro Road about 2:50 p.m. Monday, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

The man walked into the bank and told a teller to give him cash. Amormino described the suspect as white, about 27 years old, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, wearing a baseball cap and gray sweatshirt.

After the teller handed the man the money, the thief ran off, Amormino said. The FBI did not recognize the thief from any previous robberies, he said.
