OCSD Looking for Victims of Child Porn Suspect; Charges Filed

Felony charges were filed today against a photographer and children’s tumbling teacher accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and being in possession of child pornography.
Christopher A. Brown, 42, of Orange, was arrested last Friday at a Newport Beach shopping center and held in lieu of $500,000 bail, according to Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.
He’s scheduled to be arraigned today on felony charges of possession of child pornography, sexual penetration by a foreign object of an underage victim, committing a lewd or lascivious act with a minor and forcible oral copulation.

Investigators suspect there may be more alleged victims, as Brown also teaches private tumbling lessons for children and has traveled the country working as a freelance photographer, Hallock said.

Brown has a conviction in 2005 in Virginia for possession of child pornography, and failed to register as a sex offender in California when he moved into the state several years ago, according to Hallock.
Detectives suspect Brown targets teenage girls, the lieutenant said.
