Family & friends remember Ross Skinner, a SJC man killed after being struck while skateboarding in Lake Forest, with the tag #LiveLikeRoss.

LAKE FOREST, CA — A man on a skateboard who was struck in a Lake Forest intersection on the morning of June 30 was identified, the Orange County Sheriff's Department told Patch. Ross Skinner, 33 of San Juan Capistrano, was hit by an SUV at 10:45 a.m. near Dimension and Enterprise in Lake Forest, OCSD spokeswoman Carrie Braun said.
"The driver of the SUV remained on the scene and spoke with deputies when they arrived," she said. A witness to the crash, who was on her way to the airport, told Patch that she "held his hand as long as she could."
Orange County Fire Authority arrived at the scene and took Skinner to an area hospital by ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries an hour later, Braun said. No one was arrested in the incident, according to OCSD.
