Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Drake and Chapman: It took us over a year to design and build the facility to be exactly what we envisioned and a few months to train our team members. We officially opened our doors on October 1, 2020 and have enjoyed servicing the Laguna Woods community.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you're in and how did you get started?

Drake and Chapman: Josh has a background in the animal hospital industry and both of us own pets of our own. In the past, we have felt guilty about dropping our pets off at boarding facilities because the standards were never where we wanted them to be. We wanted to create a place where owners would feel great about dropping their pets off, knowing that they are happy and well taken care of.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Drake and Chapman: Fun, exciting, safe, happy and smart.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you've faced in your job?

Drake and Chapman: Opening during the uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Drake and Chapman: We love seeing pet owners feel comfortable about leaving their loved ones with us and seeing the smile on the pets’ faces as they’re playing with their friends.

Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from others?

Drake and Chapman: From our safe suites, temperature controlled rooms, 24/7 webcams, high quality air exchange system and first-rate service from employees, we offer the best, individualized care for your pet.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
