Vinnie The Cat Finds Purr-fect Family Thanks To OC Animal Care
When he arrived at Orange County Animal Care this loving kitty was almost blind from an eye infection. After months, he's finally gone home.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Behind every wet nose and whiskered face, there is a story at the Orange County Animal Care Center. This weekend, a sweet cat named Vinnie had his day in the sun while the volunteers worked to find him a family.
"Vinnie was lucky enough to find his permanent home this weekend," Jessica Novillo of OC Animal Care tells Patch. "The adult cat arrived at the OC Animal Care Center with a severe eye infection, which left his eyes scarred."
He was given over to foster care, and vet treatment, to ensure quality loving care that led to healing.

In October, Vinnie's foster mom took him for a professional photo-shoot. His personality was evident in those pictures, as was the love of his foster family for the sweet feline. He became a poster child for an over-population of cats at OC Animal Care.

Vinnie hung out in the lobby all day on Saturday, waiting to meet his fur-ever family, and was celebrated on Instagram.
He held a place of honor, and even a balloon sign bearing his name upon entry into the facility.
After flyers were passed out, an active social media campaign launched, several interested families came to view the sweet kitty, but one lucky couple took Vinnie home.
"They even have a catio for him," OC Animal Care reports!
As for cat lovers out there, consider coming to OC Animal Care, as the center has hundreds of cats and kittens who need homes.
"This year, we have already taken in over 8,500 cats – that's almost 1,500 more cats and kittens than at this point in 2018!" Novillo said. "Please tell your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone else who might be looking for a new family member. With your support, we can continue to help the cats in our community find the homes they desperately need."
Orange County Animal Care is currently in need of donated towels and blankets for shelter pets awaiting families.
"Donations can be dropped off during business hours at the front desk," she said. "We appreciate any help from the community!"
