Woman Terrorized In Irvine Home Invasion Robbery, Suspects Sought

IRVINE, CA —Irvine police are seeking two men who robbed an Irvine home and terrorized the woman who lived there.

The first suspect was described as Black, about 6 feet tall and between 25- and 35-years-old. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black face mask, black zippered jacket, black pants and dark shoes.

The second suspect was also described as Black and about 6 feet tall, though his approximate age was not provided. He was last seen wearing a blue beanie, black face mask, black zippered jacket and black shoes.

On Wednesday evening, Irvine Police officers responded to the residence in the area of Radial and Benchmark on reports of a residential robbery, according to the department's information officer, Sgt. Karie Davies.

The woman told officers that she was alone in the home and just finished showering when two men forced their way in by shattering a rear sliding glass door.

The men found the woman, ordered her to put on clothes and walked her from room to room, demanding she tell them where money and jewelry were located, Davies said.

After going through the home, the men put the woman in a bathroom and barricaded the door with furniture to prevent her from escaping.

A roommate returned to the residence at about 7:40 p.m. and interrupted the robbery, Davies said. He ran from the residence and asked a neighbor to call the police.

The two men fled the scene with property from the home before officers arrived.
The woman was not injured during the robbery and did not report seeing a weapon at any time, Davies said.
