It was a good week for the Los Angeles Angels following the last
Angeles betting briefing article. They have five of their last six
games, with their only loss being their first game against the San Diego
Padres.
They lost 11-4 in the first game but game back the next day to shut
out the Pads. Heaney had one of his best performances of the year to win
the battle against San Diego Padres Mike Clevinger and the game 2-0.
The Angels continued to capitalize on their momentum heading into
the final series against the Astros. The Halos played a four-game series
against the Astros (one of which was an Astros home game due to
Hurricane Laura).

The first game saw them play in their seventh ITB of the season,
finally getting their second win of the seven. Shohei Ohtani hit his
first career walk-off to win 6-5.
The next day saw a double header and the first game saw more
history. Jo Adell hit the first walk-off in his so far, short career of
one month to win the game 10-9.

The other was that Mike Trout overtook Tim Salmon on the Angels
home run list with 300. He is the 16th player to hit 300 before turning
30 years old and the fourth to have 300 home runs and 200 stolen bases.
He joins Sammy Sosa, Willie Mays and Alex Rodriguez on this short list.
The second game of the double header not only saw Trout playing as the
DH but something funny. After Anthony Rendon’s three-run home run in the
top of the seventh, members of the Astros started to walk off the field
forgetting that the Halos were the visiting team in this game. The
umpire had to tell them to get back to their positions since the game
wasn’t over
The final game saw no Trout, Ohtani, or David Fletcher. Trout and
Ohtani had a day off and Fletcher is still on the IL. Even without those
three, they still won 9-5.
Fans are really excited to say that they SWEPT THE ASTROS.
Like I said, excited because if there was a series to win, it was this
one because now they are heading into the NL portion of their schedule.
The only AL team they have left are the Rangers with seven games this
month.
They start their week off with the Texas Rangers for a three-game
series starting today and I expect the Halos to continue their win
streak. I believe that they will win the series, whether it is taking
two of three or the full sweep
Later in the week, they head to Colorado to face the Rockies for the one and only time this season.
Being someone who is from California and went to school in Colorado, the elevation is no joke. This reporter went to Coors Field twice early on during my time in Colorado and I was still struggling with acclimating to the elevation difference within the two months I was there. This is relevant because they do not get a day off between the time they finish in Texas and when they start in Colorado
