2 Wounded In Shooting Near Spring Valley Strip Mall

SPRING VALLEY, CA — Two people were hospitalized Thursday following a shooting near a strip mall in the Casa de Oro area of Spring Valley, according to a media report.

The shooting happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Campo Road near the Albertsons shopping center west of South Bonita Road, San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Mark Moreno said.

Deputies responded to the scene and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Fox5 reported. A second victim was reportedly shot in the leg, but went home before heading to the hospital.

Both victims were hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the news station.

No suspect description was immediately available.
