Average La Mesa Area Gas Price Rises For 50th Time In 52 Days
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Thursday to its highest amount since Nov. 18, 2019.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Thursday for the 50th time in 52 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.955, its highest amount since Nov. 18, 2019.
The average price has risen 47.5 cents over the past 52 days, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.4 cents higher than one week ago, 23.2 cents more than one month ago and 88.4 cents greater than one year ago.
The only times the average price has not increased since Feb. 9 were March 21, when it dropped one-tenth of a cent, and Monday, when it was unchanged.
