Condo Fire in La Mesa Evacuates Neighbors in Early Morning Hours
The noninjury fire at Daybreak Condos at 5715 Baltimore Drive was reported shortly after 6 a.m., according to a Heartland fire dispatcher.

Update: Friday, 9:30 a.m.
Heartland Fire is reporting that the fire was in an unoccupied two-story unit that was being renovated. The fire was reported to be in the wall area of the condo and in the void spaces between the first and second floors. Â The fire was fully contained in approximately 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation and is not considered suspicious in nature. Damage is estimated at $75,000.
