Edward Seiden Dies at 90; La Mesa Resident Was WWII Vet
He served as an engineer and was honored for accomplishments in the field in 1981.

Edward I. Seiden, a La Mesa resident who worked in counterintelligence in World War II and later was part of General Dynamics, died July 7. He was 90.
The Manila native served during the war as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces of the Far East. While at General Dynamics, the engineer worked in mass properties, according to U-T San Diego. He also was part of the Society of Allied Weight Engineers.
He was honored by the group as an honorary fellow in 1981, having “achieved eminence” in his field.
He was a father of two. His services are set for noon Thursday at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Market Street and 36th Street in San Diego.
