Gary W. Clemesha died Sept. 8, according to a U-T San Diego obituary.
He was 71.
He graduated from Helix High School and worked as a La Mesa police officer, according to the newspaper.

A celebration of life will be held for Clemesha—and his wife Mary Jo who died on Mar. 9, 2011—at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Cottonwood Golf Course, according to the newspaper.
