La Mesa City Council Election 2020: 6 Compete For 2 Seats

La Mesa voters will elect two council members.

LA MESA, CA — Six candidates are vying for two open seats on the La Mesa City Council in Tuesday's general election.

Two incumbents, Kristine Alessio and Colin Parent, are on the ballot. The other candidates are Allan Durden, an agency field adviser; Laura Lothian, a businesswoman; Mark Papenfuss, whose experience is in customer service leadership; and Jack Shu, a retired park superintendent.
