La Mesa Police Kick Off Annual Toy Drive for Rady Children's Hospital

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the department collects new toys in their original packaging for children in need.

La Mesa police started their annual toy drive Wednesday to benefit kids at Rady Children's Hospital.

New toys in their original packaging will be accepted in a collection box in the police station lobby at 8085 University Ave. through Nov. 14, according to a La Mesa police statement.

Toy guns, violent games or items with religious themes are not wanted.
